We are so excited to share that we have chosen the winners of our annual Fall River Inspiration Scholarship. Each year, employees of Fall River clients, as well as their children/grandchildren, are eligible to apply. We had an outstanding pool of applicants this year (in both quantity and quality of applications) and have decided to increase the number of scholarships we gave. We are awarding two $1,000 scholarships as well as three $250 book stipends.
$1,000 Tuition Scholarships

Justin, working at a non-profit with at-risk kids, while attending Metro State University
“I’ve really started to develop an interest in working with or creating a non-profit that seeks out mentors to mentor youth for a period of one year or more.  I’m passionate about mentoring programs because I truly believe that any caring adult, regardless of their experiences, in working with kids, can positively impact a youth’s life through a mentor relationship.”

Tara, works for a behavioral health organization, while attending CSU Global
“(As a Corrections Officer,) I got hurt in the line of duty, (and) I took it as a learning experience that I would later on use with my role as a Victim’s Advocate.  Let your children see you struggle because when you do you are teaching them so many valuable lessons.”

$250 Book Stipends

Paige, attending Missouri University of Science and Technology
“I participate in activities such as The Relay for Life and The Walk for the Wounded.  I do not just want to inspire people to help me in my efforts.  I also want others to pursue causes they have a passion for.  I want everyone to feel that they are making a difference in someone’s life.  I want the world to be inspired to help others in any way they see fit.”

        Kim, attending Adams State University
“I want to be a role model who shows that determination, education, and passion can lead to incredible places.  I want to be the person that a kid can come to with endless ‘how’ and ‘why’ questions and either know the answer off the top of my head or know where to find the answer.”

        Danae, attending Arizona State University
“My dream is to work in the field of medicine and help, support, and inspire others who struggle with chronic pain disorders.  More than anything I am determined to find ways to inspire them to continue to dream and push forward with their goals despite the potential obstacles.”
